Meticulously designed and built in our local workshop, each board is a unique blend of rich walnut and vibrant maple hardwoods, symbolizing the fusion of rugged mountain trails and the warmth of a cozy ski lodge. How do I take care of this incredible charcuterie board?

With love and kindness... And also:

Clean Regularly: After each use, wash the board with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth. Avoid soaking it in water or putting it in the dishwasher, as prolonged exposure to water can cause the wood to warp and split.

Dry Properly: After washing, dry the board thoroughly with a towel, then let it air dry completely by standing it on its edge. This helps prevent moisture from being trapped on the surface, which can lead to mold and mildew growth.

Oil Regularly: To keep the wood from drying out and cracking, periodically (every month or so, depending on use) apply a thin layer of food-grade mineral oil or a specialized wood conditioner. Spread the oil evenly over the surface with a clean cloth, let it soak in for a few hours or overnight, then wipe off any excess.

Remove Stains and Odors: For stains, sprinkle coarse salt over the board, then rub it with a lemon half, cut side down. For odors, rubbing the board with white vinegar can help neutralize smells. Rinse the board after these treatments and dry it well.

Avoid Heat and Direct Sunlight: Do not expose your wooden board to direct heat sources or sunlight for extended periods, as this can cause warping and fading.

Store Properly: Store your board in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If possible, store it vertically to ensure even air circulation and prevent warping.
